Shange’Shirl Cattery has been tested and found to be Leukemia free, and free of FIP.

The Traditional Siamese, Classic Siamese and Traditional Balinese produced at Shang’Shirl are among the rare breeds, which almost became extinct.  We have been breeding since September, 1993, beginning with Modern Siamese, Registered with CFA, but we no long want to be involved with the modern type or the association.  We bought our first Siamese named, Tommy, who was an old fashioned, Traditional Siamese.  He was our friend and made us fall in love with the breed.  Then we bough a Classic Siamese named, Ms. Crystally, who is now retired, but lives here and Grandmothers all the cats and kittens.

We feel as if we have been on a journey, because we tried the modern wedge Siamese and entered our first CFF cat show.  We got lots of ribbons and noviced our cat, and could have Grand Championed him.  But something drew us to the TRUTH!  The Traditional Siamese and the Classic Siamese are the ORIGINAL Siamese.  Because of our integrity, we can no longer breed modern wedge Siamese.  We honestly and in good conscience, can’t breed the modern wedge Siamese any longer.  We believe it is dangerous to the Siamese breed!

We have such comfort, pleasure and a rewarding life, breeding the Traditional and Classic Siamese in order to keep the breed in existence.  They are part of our family and so intelligent.  They greet us at the door, sleep with us and play! They are so smart, loyal, intelligent and beautiful. If it were possible we would ask them to talk like humans and communicate in English, since that is the only missing link.  We just know that Traditional and Classic Siamese are unique, intelligent and loyal companions.  We have great pride in our Cattery.
